Caskie Trio is an all-singing, all-playing, all-women ensemble from London performing their alternative folk songs, inspired by Ichiko Aoba and Punch Brothers. With Evie Coplan on cello, Nicole Petrus Barracks on violin and Maya Caskie on piano/guitar, the trio draw on their respective studies in classical and jazz performance and contemporary composition to create their colourful, feminine amalgam.

 

In the last year, they have played sold-out shows across London at Pizza Express Jazz Club, Vortex Jazz Club and The Green Note. They are a little but mighty band that brings a surprisingly full, warm and whimsical sound - glockenspiels, whistling solos and all.
